As a new installment of the “My Favorite Thing” work series, this is my first involving text. The piece was premiered last year in Norway, and also performed in Stockholm.

The piece will now be performed at the concert series Periferien (nyMusikk), programmed with 2 other great compser’s pieces - Natasha Barrett and Mariam Gviniashvili.

MFT4 will be recorded later this year, or early next year.

Finally the solo piece “All Play 3” will have its premiere. This is a piece for electric guitar with hex-pickup and 6 amplifiers composed for Lars Ove Fossheim, and also a homage to Annea Lockwood.

Together with Kristine Tjøgersen and Ane Marthe Sørlien Holen I have contributed with music and performance to the dance installation/performances “Frå form til famling”. This was initially a huge performance performed during 4 days in November 2023 at Henie Onstad Art Center.

In Ålesund, during the Høstscena festival, we will perform an adaptation of the piece twice.

I’m performing with Ensemble neoN this new piece at the wonderful art venue in Skien. A lot of new instruments, new tunings, and great atmosphere.

In addition to Jo David and Peder (tba), Inga Margrete Aas (bs) is joining us.

I’ve been working with the brilliant performer Lars Ove Stene Fossheim for a while with this commission. The work turned out to be more of a process, rather than a fixed piece. Looking forward to present this on the Tonehimmel festival

In springtime I will work on a new piece for the outstanding piano-performer Rei Nakamura (JP/DE). This concert will also include premieres by Jeppe Ernst and Henrik Hellstenius.

I’m working on a project with Cikada, which will include constructed objects. The piece will be composed for these objects with lights and feedback-mechanics and the full ensemble. The piece will be part of a series of pieces called “All Play”.

The premiere is set to be in late March 2025, with more concerts to follow.

This piece has been performed quite a lot the last year. Current Saxophone Quartet commissioned the piece last year, so happy they include the piece on many of their concerts.

I will be present at the US premiere of this quartet during the Other Minds Festival in San Fransisco - looking forward to this!

I will join a panel consisting of choreographers Roza Moshtaghi, Inés Belli, and musician/moderator Tanja Orning. We will discuss minimalism and creation, after the performance of Catherine Gaudet’s “All the Pretty Things”. This is a part of the Ultima Festival.

During the Ultima Festival Øystein Wyller Odden will present his new exhibition and soundinstallation at Atelier Nord. I will, in collaboration with Øystein compose a piece to expand and comment his new exhibition. The fantastic brass quintet NNMK will perform.

I have made 4 arrangements of Susanna’s wonderful Baudelaire songs, and added some intermezzi, for this concert . This project is a follow-up of the Baudelaire Orchestra project released in august 2023.

Manuel Zuria will perform my miniature piece “SHO(r)TS 1b” at an exhibition opening i Rome, together with pieces by Alvin Curran, Steve Reich, Francesco Antonioni, Jon Gibson, and Stafano Scodanibbio.
